The Miami Valley’s strong military presence means a lot of families have to deal with long separations and stress. That can lead to problems including divorce.
Local researchers are now helping to keep military marriages together. It’s a pilot study that includes couples at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
“So we just piloted it there and said will this work, will couples benefit? Could we do a marriage checkup in three 30 minute appointments? asked Wright State University Psychology Professor Jeffrey Cigrang.
