Wright State University students raised $45,695.21 for Dayton Children’s Hospital during Raiderthon, Wright State’s fifth annual dance marathon, in the Student Union Apollo Room.
“To raise that much money, I’m so proud to be a Wright State Raider,” said Karlie Cade, a junior political science major and Raiderthon participant.
Students stayed on their feet throughout the Nov. 18 event, which ran from 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, dancing for patients at Dayton Children’s who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
More than 400 dancers were registered for the event. Over the past four years, Raiderthon has raised nearly $200,000 for Dayton Children’s.
