A grand tea mistress presented the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, called chanoyu, the “Way of Tea.” This artistic ritual is a ceremonial preparation and presentation of matcha, powdered green tea. It draws on the stately meditative practice of Zen Buddhism.
This event was presented by the Wright State Asian/Hispanic/Native American Center (AHNA) in celebration of Asian Heritage Month.
