A part of Wright State’s Welcome Week, this year’s annual service project was called Striding in Stilettos.
Men were asked to literally walk a mile in women’s shoes—six laps around the Quad—to raise awareness of violence and sexual abuse waged upon women. Participants wedged their feet into donated high heels and strutted their stuff for all to see.
Students and participants raised $100 for the Greene County Violence Prevention Center.
Despite the initial discomfort, Reilly Dixon, reporter for Student on the Scene, slipped himself into a pair of high heels to go behind the scenes of Striding in Stilettos.
