Cybersecurity isn’t just about the internet anymore. It affects the car you drive, the phone you use, and all of the electronics you own.
That’s “the Internet of things,” and it’s only growing more complex every day, says Vance Saunders, director of cyber security programs for Wright State University.
The cyber world is an emerging one — with one million new jobs in cybersecurity expected to open by 2017. But the workforce behind that needs to be prepared to deal with a world that is more online than ever before, Saunders said.
