Wright State University kicked off the Spring Semester with Winter Fest on Feb. 2 throughout the Student Union. The free event included winter-based activities such as dodge “snow” ball, cookie decorating, crafts, games, card making, a hot chocolate bar and even bumper cars.
Dozens of student volunteers helped staff the various activities in the Student Union Atrium and gymnasium.
“It gets people involved and shows them what we are doing on campus,” said Emelee Porter, a sophomore majoring in nursing and Winter Fest organizer. “Not everyone is used to having bumper cars in the Atrium so it’s fun.”
Winter Fest was organized by the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership and the University Activities Board and sponsored by Wright State University Miracle Makers, the Esports Club, Raider Landing, Campus Recreation and WWSU 106.9 FM.
