The Amigos Latinos Student Association at Wright State University has been hosting weekly salsa classes in the Culture and Identity Centers Lounge every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. since March 5.
“This is a neat opportunity for myself and students like me who may be a little nervous and shy to dance,” said Felipe Perez, a junior marketing major who organized the dance lessons.
The sessions are led by Lauri Chaves, a Wright State alumna, who said the students have experienced a lot of excitement.
“You grow physically, emotionally, spiritually and physically because it’s a social event,” said Chaves.
The classes will conclude on April 2 and are free and open to anyone at Wright State.
