Hundreds of students and alumni connected with potential employers and explored career and internship opportunities at Wright State University’s Spring Career and Internship Fair 2025 on Feb. 4 in the Student Union Apollo Room.
Hosted by Wright State’s Career Services, the fair attracted 65 employers who met with Wright State students and alumni about filling roles in their organizations.
“It’s definitely great to see all of these employers here,” said Michael Harrison, a sophomore accountancy major.
Participation in Wright State’s Career Fairs this academic year continues to rise. Last fall’s event was the largest in recent years, attracting nearly 1,000 students and alumni along with 88 employers.
More health care employers have also participated in the Career Fairs, including Premiere Health and five area hospitals attending the spring event.
“It’s exciting to be here today and see students and employers connecting,” said Julie Wielonski, associate director of external and community events for Career Services. “It’s exactly what we wanted it to be.”
GE Aerospace and Honda were the first two employers to reserve conference room space in the new Career Hub, which provides space for students and employers to connect during and after the Career Fair.
The Career Hub, which opened in January in the Student Union, offers a one-of-a-kind, centralized space where students can receive career advice, prepare for interviews, meet with potential employers and get free headshots.
“The ambition that we are seeing in students is telling enough,” said Adrianne Miller, a recruiter for Honda.
