Christopher Hogan, director of community standards and student conduct at Wright State University, received a 2024 President’s Award for Excellence in Service.

Hogan is a champion for students who fosters excellence in academic integrity and community standards while remaining student-centered and approachable.

Knowing that his role can be intimidating to students, he goes out of his way to interact with students in positive environments. Students often visit Hogan’s office to connect because they know he genuinely cares about their well-being and growth. And many students leave his office with smiles even after receiving sanctions for their actions.

Wright State benefits from Hogan’s efforts through effective collaboration with faculty to uphold academic integrity and community standards, innovative programming, student retention and relationships, and excellent representation of Wright State on and off campus.

Hogan is recognized by students, staff, faculty and community members across Wright State for his kindness, caring attitude, enthusiasm and attentiveness to the needs and concerns of others.

He creatively works with others to uplift staff members and promote a fun, healthy working community. He is passionate about creating a healthy and harmonious campus culture.

Hogan serves in leadership roles on the Student Affairs Staff Development Committee and co-chairs the Students of Concern Committee for the Dayton and Lake campuses. He is also a member of the Wright State University Alumni Board of Directors and the Chaminade Julienne Catholic High School Board.
