Hundreds of military veterans attended an event hosted by Wright State designed to improve support for veterans by connecting them with resources, service providers, advocates and employers.
The fourth annual Veterans Moving Forward event was a combination of a resource fair and a job fair designed to educate and engage veterans with programs they can be apart of.
“Hosting this event speaks to Wright State’s commitment to supporting the veterans and current service members in our community,” said Seth Gordon, director of the Veteran and Military Center(VMC) at Wright State. “There are a lot of moving parts behind the scenes and we are delighted to contribute what we can.”
During the opening ceremony the VMC was presented with the Best Organization of the Year award from Vietnam Veterans America Chapter 97 from Montgomery County.
Veterans Moving Forward was held in the Student Union Apollo Room and Atrium on May 22. The event was sponsored by the Greater Miami Valley myVeteran Community.
