Locally, the field was booming in 2010, with employment rising every quarter. Employment was at 56,400 in the second quarter of the year, gradually climbing to 56,600 in the third quarter and 56,700 in the fourth quarter, according to a report by Wright State University’s Raj Soin College of Business. The Dayton region report included Montgomery, Greene, Miami and Preble counties.
