Students packed a bus headed to Detroit to cheer on the Wright State men’s basketball team in the Horizon League champion tonight.
If they win, the Raiders will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Third-seeded Wright State (22-12) will face fourth-seeded Green Bay (22-12) for the championship Tuesday, March 8, at 7 p.m. at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. The game will air on ESPN.
It’s the fifth time in 10 years, the men’s basketball team will play for league tournament title. The Raiders beat Oakland, Detroit and UIC in consecutive days to earn a spot in the championship game.
