JoAnn Bevelhymer, director of enrollment management for the Raj Soin College of Business, received the 2022 President’s Award for Excellence in Leadership for her over 25 years of service to Wright State and the College of Business.

Bevelhymer’s colleagues commend her work across the college and her incredible demonstration of leadership. They also commend her open-minded attitude and clear passion for her role with the College of Business.

Since she began working at Wright State, Bevelhymer has served in a variety of leadership roles, including academic advisor and director of enrollment for the college. In her current role, she develops and manages enrollment and recruiting for undergraduate business and MBA programs.

Bevelhymer has spearheaded innovative and new recruiting strategies and programs and works closely with the Office of Admissions, the Office of Marketing and faculty, staff and students.

She has taken a leadership role in the Business Scholarship Challenge Program for prospective high school students. She designed and implemented the program to include the ReyRey Café, panels and interviews and recruited board members, faculty, staff and student leaders to participate.

Along with her work in the Raj Soin College of Business, Bevelhymer manages multiple recruiting programs that involve the entire university. These programs include Raider Open House, summer orientation, Admitted Students Day, Business Day with a Raider, MBA open houses and a series of electronic marketing for undergraduate and MBA programs.

Bevelhymer’s colleagues call her a role model for many at Wright State. Every day, she demonstrates her passion for the success of the Raj Soin College of Business and the university and cares deeply for students.

“JoAnn truly sets the needs of students first,” said Lindsey Bedford, enrollment coordinator for the Raj Soin College of Business. “She is in constant collaboration with staff and faculty to find the best ways to reach out to undergraduate and graduate students alike.”
