Wright State President Sue Edwards’ 3 Rs of relationship, retention and recruitment are personified in the social media platforms managed by Tracey Hill, administrative support coordinator in the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies.

Engaging students is the goal of Hill, who received the Spirit of Innovation Award and draws upon her graduate work in instructional design and learning technologies.

After the departments in the College of Liberal Arts were reorganized into three schools, Hill was asked to serve in the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies. She has tirelessly served the former Department of Communication and the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies. Her coworkers commend her dedication to Wright State.

As the social media manager of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies, Hill engages with prospective and current students and promotes all facets of campus services.

Hill is also responsible for managing the Rotary District 6670 4-Way Test Speech Competition, an annual competition that attracts students from around the state to the Dayton Campus. Each year, she creates innovative ideas to improve the experiences of the student participants and their parents.

Hill also chairs the Communication Subcommittee of the university’s Racial Equity Task Force. She continues to collaborate with the Office of Marketing to develop a webpage as part of the Division of Inclusive Excellence.

With so many accomplishments, it was not surprising that Hill also received the College of Liberal Arts Staff Award for Excellence in 2022. Her colleagues in the College of Liberal Arts are grateful for her hard work and appreciate her contributions to the college and the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies.
