FAIRBORN — The city of Fairborn has a development plan in place that city officials hope will position it to be an economic player in the region in the future. City council approved an ordinance last month to transfer $90,000 from the general reserve fund to support the efforts of Development Director Chris Wimsatt, who has put together a plan to help Fairborn create and obtain jobs based on the city’s assets, including Wright State University, highway access, rail access and the state’s largest single-site employer, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
