Since the fall of last year, the staff at Crawford Hoying have been busy making enhancements to campus housing to improve students’ experiences and health.
“We’re excited to be partners with Wright State University, and one of the first things that we wanted to do is enhance the residential living experience,” said Katie Manning, property manager at Crawford Hoying.
The Dublin-based developer recently installed a fitness trail that includes 16 different workout stations connected by sidewalks so students can walk or jog from station to station along the one-mile course.
Honors Hall received a facelift in the lobby entrance along with new foosball and table tennis equipment on the second-floor plaza. A new dance and yoga studio featuring a sprung floor has also been installed on the first floor along with new exercise equipment in the updated fitness center.
Crawford Hoying partnered with Wright State in the fall to create a par 58, 6,311-foot disc golf course on campus. The popular course includes new launch pads and brand-new disc golf baskets located on all 18 holes.
“We’re installing secondary launch pads to attract even more folks,” said Manning.
Students now also have an option to live in an upgraded apartment. The apartment upgrades include luxury vinyl tile, completely updated kitchens with new cabinets and stainless-steel appliances along with updated bathrooms.
Manning said she’s excited to welcome students on-campus for the Fall Semester and hopes the new upgrades will help students stay active and healthy.
“Mental health is something that has been really important for our students, and we wanted to create an avenue for them to have a good healthy release,” said Manning.
