It was a busy Welcome Week for freshman and returning students at Wright State!
- Male students were “striding in stilettos” during Welcome Week at Wright State. The men walked a mile around the quad in high-heel shoes and green-and-gold Raider attire. Donations for victims of abuse were collected during the Aug. 30 event.
- New and continuing students enjoyed ice cream and received information from various departments on campus during a collaborative open house hosted by Student Affairs on Aug. 29.
- Hundreds of faculty, staff and students from the Wright State community celebrated the 2012-13 academic year with a Welcome Week kickoff reception in the Student Union Atrium on Aug. 27.
- The Army ROTC hosted a picnic Aug. 29 to welcome the incoming cadets and the return of the current cadets into Wright State’s ROTC program.
- Welcome Week included some fun in the pool at the Student Union. Hosted by the Black Student Union, new and returning students were invited to a pool party Aug. 28 to celebrate the first week of the academic year.
- Students, staff, and faculty enjoyed food, fun, and friends at the annual Wright State Fall Fest. Student organizations, multiple departments, and various vendors participated in the Aug. 31 event.
- The Residential Community Association wrapped up Welcome Week with the annual Boogie on the Bricks event. Food and beverages were provided while students danced the night away.
