Wright State’s Homecoming Week features block party-inspired events Feb. 4–7 on the Dayton Campus

Basketball games, the Alumni Achievement Awards, Trivia Night, a chili cookoff and salsa dancing will highlight Wright State University’s packed Homecoming Week on the Dayton Campus Feb. 4–7.

“Homecoming is a time for current and former students to connect with each other and the university’s faculty and staff and celebrate the Raider spirit that connects us all,” said Greg Scharer, executive director of alumni relations at Wright State.

This year’s theme is “Block Party,” featuring a lineup of events that bring students, employees and alumni together to reconnect, celebrate and show their Wright State pride.

A special highlight of Homecoming is the inaugural Campus Challenge: School Supply Drive, running throughout the week. Faculty and staff are encouraged to donate school supplies while competing to see which college can contribute the most. Supplies can be dropped off at University Hall, Student Involvement and Leadership, Dunbar Library and White Hall.

“Homecoming is about connections — to one another and to our alma mater,” said Courtney Laukitis, associate director of campus programs. “This year’s events are a chance to celebrate the Raider spirit that connects us all as students, employees and alumni.”

Homecoming is presented by the Wright State Alumni Association, Wright State University and Wright State student organizations.

4:30 to 6 p.m., Student Union Endeavour Room: First Gen Homecoming Event celebrating the first-generation student and alumni community

6 to 8 p.m., Student Union Atrium: Homecoming Salsa Night, featuring live music, dancing and light refreshments
