For Wright State University students, finding a career path can begin long before graduation. The newly named Berry Family Career Hub connects students and alumni with career development resources, employers, experiences and guidance to take the next steps toward meaningful careers.
The center, which opened in 2025, was formally renamed the Berry Family Career Hub during a Sept. 14 ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Wright State students, faculty, staff and guests.
“It is all about helping our students go further,” said Susan Schaurer, vice president for enrollment management.
For the Berry family, education has long been a way to create opportunity, not only for individual students, but also for families, communities and the region.
“The Berry family has a demonstrated history of wanting students to succeed and student success and having their name on our Career Hub is an honor, and it will bring opportunities to students that wouldn’t otherwise exist,” said Kim Gilliam, Ed.D., director of career education and success.
The Berry Family Career Hub is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 108 Student Union.
The hub provides a welcoming space where students can explore career possibilities, connect with employers and gain the skills and experiences needed to pursue their goals. Career consultants work closely with students at every stage, from exploring majors and career options to developing resumes, preparing for interviews, finding internships and connecting with employment opportunities.
