Kristine Scordo, Ph.D., professor and director of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program in the College of Nursing and Health, recently accepted a three-year volunteer appointment as chair of the Cardiovascular Team (CVT) Section’s Advanced Practice Nurses Work Group for The American College of Cardiology, a well-known international professional organization.
Scordo will work with a team of professionals from the college to develop post-graduate competencies for a fellowship in cardiovascular nursing. The group will then develop a standardized curriculum vetted by the CVT with eventual development of a national post-graduate examination.
