Wright State University honored more than 2,000 graduating students at its spring commencement ceremony May 4 in the Wright State Nutter Center.
The spring class of 2019 included graduates with 22 associate degrees, 1,457 bachelor’s degrees, 592 master’s degrees and 25 doctoral degrees. Read more about spring commencement.
Graduating students range in age from 19 to 70. The class included 1,913 students from the 16 counties anchored by Wright State’s Dayton and Lake campuses. Graduates came from 27 states. The class also included 146 international students from 34 different nations.
In her commencement address, President Cheryl B. Schrader told graduating students: “Class of 2019, each of you has left your own unique mark on our Wright State family and community.”
Wright State awarded an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters to Amanda Wright Lane, great grandniece of Wilbur and Orville Wright and an enthusiastic supporter of the university.
