Tommy McGuffey, Jr. lives united by embracing the true ladder of success: pulling others up without allowing them to pull you down. Volunteer Connection is proud to announce Tommy McGuffey, Jr. as the Community Volunteer of the Month.
Tommy started out as an intern with United Way of the Greater Dayton Area in January of 2011. As a student intern from Wright State University, Tommy served as administrative support for the Community Partnerships Department, which included working on upcoming Days of Service with Volunteer Connection, public policy, and collecting and analyzing data to name a few. Upon completion of the internship in May of 2011, Tommy made the choice to remain as a volunteer with United Way’s Volunteer Connection.
