DBJ: Wright State president named to list of national execs to watch

Excerpt

Susan Edwards is Wright State University’s eighth president. She assumed the position January 1, 2020.

The leaders of Wright State University, CareSource, and OneFifteen have been selected to a national list of executives to watch for 2020.

Influencers: People We’re Watching in 2020 offers a list of executives poised to be in the headlines locally and perhaps nationally in the months ahead.

Among those on the list are Susan Edwards, president of Wright State University; Erhardt Preitauer, president and CEO of CareSource; and Marti Taylor, president and CEO of Onefifteen.

For some, it’s because they’ll be taking the reins of a company and expected to shape the future of that business. For others, 2020 marks a first full year in charge, so they’re looking to build on what they’ve learned and on the foundations they’ve set to date.

Still others are poised to capitalize on recently completed acquisitions or prime funding rounds. These executives, and their companies, have big things expected of them for the future. That future begins in earnest now

The executives spotlighted here were identified in conjunction with editors and staff writers across The Business Journals’ network of more than 40 publications, including the Dayton Business Journal. Each has been featured as part of The Business Journals’ continuing coverage of the newsmakers in those cities.

This list continues The Business Journals’ effort to identify executives nationwide as part of our branded Influencers series.

We’ve profiled executives who work in commercial real estate, law and finance. We’ve also highlighted some of the nation’s bright young executives in a Rising Stars series.

We welcome your comments as you review our latest list and learn more about each of these executives. We also know there are many other executives, and companies, that will be making news in the months and years ahead. We look forward to sharing those stories with you through The Business Journals as well.
