About 1,600 freshman moved on to campus Thursday, September 1, in a flurry of activity that started at 7 a.m. and ended eight hot, sweaty hours later. 520 faculty, staff and student volunteers helped families and freshman move on campus with swift golf cart maneuvers and countless trips up and down dormitory staircases with arms full of all the essentials.
