
Junior and senior dance majors will premiere new works Feb. 15–17 in DanceSpace 170 in the Creative Arts Center.
Juniors and seniors in the Wright State University Dance Program will present a concert of world-premiere choreography during the 2019 Emerging Choreographers Concert.
The program takes place Friday, Feb. 15, and Saturday, Feb. 16, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m. in DanceSpace 170 in the Creative Arts Center. A suggested $5 donation is recommended to support future student productions.
At Wright State, dance majors train in a variety of dance styles and begin to hone their own choreographic voices. Juniors and seniors are given the responsibility of choreographing, lighting and producing their own full-length concert work.
The concert will feature a diverse concert of new work created by students in the Wright State Dance Ensemble. Emerging Choreographers includes choreography by seniors: Laura Blaufuss, Heather Cagle, Rita Cavicchia, Allison Syvertsen, Jordan Garcia, Tasha’ra Maye, Sierra Miller, Elly Wood and Kennedi Jones; and juniors: Courtney Anderson, Hannah Neff, Jacob Shade and Mikaela Sobolik.
