Fairborn City Manager Deborah McDonnell said the opening of Wright State’s 70-acre Calamityville disaster response training site should offer a significant boost to Fairborn’s hotel and restaurant sector. She said that boost is especially needed because the city is juggling to fund its police and fire departments after a 9.9-mill levy failed in November and other levies expired.
