FAIRBORN — The romance between Rob and Maureen Cooper started in the athletic offices at Wake Forest University.
Rob, an assistant baseball coach, would often drop by to see Maureen, an athletic administrator. How about a run? Need a bite for lunch?
“A good guy,” Maureen said. “A good buddy.”
After a year, Rob was hired as an assistant coach at Tulane, and Maureen moved to a job at the University of Miami. But their path to a family — and success of the Wright State baseball program — was only beginning.
