The Wright State men’s basketball team is in Italy this week to play four games against Italian professional teams.
Fresh off the plane, the Raiders took in several tourist attractions before hitting the hardcourt, visiting the Roman Colosseum and many more of Italy’s famous ancient ruins.
Head coach Billy Donlon talks about the first leg of the trip on this video link.

The Raiders will return home from the 10-day trip August 30th.
Heading into next season Donlon believes the experience will be key for his team, which is loaded with underclassman. Wright State currently has nine freshmen and sophomores on the roster and no player who has been with the program for more than one season.
- Posing in front of one of the most famous sporting venues of ancient history, sophomore forward Cole Darling and senior forward Johann Mpondo visited the Roman Colosseum with the rest of the group early in the trip.
- The Raiders are hoping the experiences in Italy on and off the court will help them grow as a team.
