Exciting First Weekend for freshmen

: Wright State freshmen enjoyed food, had fun, and got better acquainted with their First Weekend team and other students at Raider Feast September 1.

: First-year students met President David R. Hopkins and received their free “Sea of Green” T-shirt for Freshman Convocation at the President’s Cookout held at the Alumni Circle September 2.

: First-year students enjoyed lots of music, fun, and entertainment September 2 while learning more about fraternities, sororities and other clubs and organizations on campus as part of Do the U and Meet the Greeks activities.

: Doug, Cheryl and freshman Kegan Sickels pose for a picture with team leader Tiffanie Friedley at the Parents Reception. Parents of first-year students were invited to join other Wright State parents, along with university faculty and staff, for refreshments and an informal ceremony celebrating their student’s transition to college.

: The Freshmen Plunge, held September 3, was an opportunity for first-year students to have fun while helping others during this annual community engagement and service-learning project.

: The Residential Community Association sponsored Boogie on the Bricks September 3 for all Wright State residents. This fun-filled event featured dancing with DJ Opzzy and pizza by Cousin Vinny’s.
