Vaughn Shannon, a political science professor at Wright State University, said the transition in Libya is the “perfect time for multilateralism.”
“Having a voice and working with all the others who care about that area of North Africa is important,” Shannon said. “The big potential problem will be if the various armed factions from different parts of the country don’t put down their arms. I’m cautiously optimistic.”
