The Wright State community gave more in 2011 to needy kids in Montgomery and Greene counties than in 2010 proving the drives for the charitable organization For Love of Children (FLOC) in Montgomery County and for “adopted” children in Greene County to be a huge success.
FLOC estimates the donations from Wright State are worth about $1,600, double last year’s estimated donation value. Those toys were donated to the Toy Cottage, a place where struggling parents can pick out Christmas presents for their children.
Also because of Wright State’s generosity this season, 38 specific children in Greene County were “adopted” and received toys for the holidays.
In addition, nearly $500 raised from the Alumni Association raffle was also donated to both Montgomery County and Greene County Children Services.
