Wright State Physicians group launches online Patient Portal

Patients can access their health information securely, on their own schedules

Wright State Physicians (WSP) has partnered with athenahealth® to launch an online portal that gives its patients a secure, 24-hour, web-based way to schedule appointments, retrieve test results and communicate with their physicians’ offices.

“People are busy, and it’s sometimes hard for them to stay on top of their own and their family’s health care needs,” said WSP Chief Operating Officer Jocelyn Piccone, MHA, MA, CMPE. “The Patient Portal will allow our patients and their families a way to communicate with us easily and securely on their own schedules.”

The WSP Patient Portal enables patients to complete paperwork before an appointment, such as registration forms, health questionnaires, treatment consents and medical information releases. It also will allow them to view their health records, update insurance and personal information, view health and wellness information, make secure credit card payments and more. The Patient Portal may be accessed through the WSP website, wrightstatephysicians.org.

Wright State Physicians is the largest physician-managed multi-specialty group in the Dayton region. It is the clinical practice of physicians affiliated with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine who offer primary or specialty care in a wide range of medical fields, including dermatology, family medicine, general surgery, geriatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics and surgical oncology.
