Berkwood Farmer, dean of Wright State University’s Raj Soin College of Business, will retire in June after 11 years on the job. Farmer will remain at Wright State as a professor. He recently sat down with the Dayton Business Journal.
Q: What are the biggest challenges facing business school students today?
A: I think the biggest challenge for business students and for all students today is going to be how are they going to pay for higher education. Because the cost for higher education is going up every day and it has for 10 years — much higher than the rate of inflation. And then we have the trouble with financial aid. Financial aid is probably going to be less than it was in the future.
