Janet L. Watkins, until recently a personnel executive at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, has been hired as associate director of the Glenn Research Center of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
She is responsible for overall management of operations at the Glenn center, said Ray Lugo, Glenn’s director.
At Wright-Patterson, Watkins had been in charge of developing policies and procedures for the Air Force Materiel Command’s personnel in-sourcing program, NASA Glenn officials said. She served for more than 20 years in Air Force management.
Watkins, a native of Dayton, received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Wright State University and her master’s degree in public administration from Central Michigan University, NASA officials said.
