
Wright State students sample chili with all different kinds of tastes anf textures during the Sixth Annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off.
The Sixth Annual Chili Cook-Off brought joy to the stomachs of many Raiders. Part of Wright State’s week-long Homecoming celebration, the Cook-Off preceded the Homecoming Men’s Soccer Game on Friday, October 12.
Teams of students put their culinary skills to the test. Attendees were asked to sample each teams’ chili and vote for their favorite.
Prizes were awarded to the following teams:
1st Place: Wright State Disc Golf
2nd Place: Alpha Xi Delta Sorority
3rd Place: Office of Student Activities
People’s Choice: Phi Sigma Rho Sorority

Wright State President David R. Hopkins and his wife Angelia served as “celebrity” tasters at the cook-off.
The chilies varied from spicy and chunky to zesty and smooth. Each team brought a unique recipe to the table for all to enjoy. Student reporter Reilly Dixon hit the scene to discover the secrets to making delicious chili.
