USA Today has a story on its website now about a fake documentary on “Sharkzilla” that has angered some Shark Week fans.
But a Wright State University professor has real facts for you about the giant shark. Last year, Chuck Ciampaglio was part of a Discovery Channel show about the megalodon.
Ciampaglio is one of only a handful of scientists worldwide to study the shark, which was one of the largest carnivores that ever lived, with teeth seven inches long, a mouth big enough to swallow a small boat and a bite force estimated at 20,000 pounds, he said.
