Wright State University says it has made an internal loan of $100,000 to help about 40 students threatened by sequestration continue their schooling.
The students affected are defense employees, contractors, or members of the military who were threatened by the effects of the sequester through furloughs or cutbacks in contracts and manpower associated with sequestration, said Bill Ayres, interim dean of Wright State’s Graduate School.
Grants ranged from a few hundred dollars to up to $4,000, to help pay tuition for those students facing financial trouble finish their programs.
