More than 600 Wright State University students, staff and faculty danced their tails off for 15 hours during a fundraising dance marathon that raised $50,389 for Dayton Children’s Hospital.
The first Raiderthon held at Wright State began Saturday, Nov. 16 in the Student Union Apollo room at 10 a.m. and continued until 1 a.m. the next morning. The event included live bands, disc jockeys, techno music, line dancing, belly dancing, zumba, a gymnastics performance, a fashion show, a performance by the Wright State Emerald Jazz Dance Team and a chemistry demonstration.
Families benefiting from the fundraiser were also in attendance. Each year, Dayton Children’s provides care for more than 290,000 infants, children and teens.

- Student Government President Sukhman Singh made good use of a GoPro camera at the event.

- The pink team brought down the house during their talent portion of the Mr. and Mrs. Raiderthon competion.
