The Wright State University School of Music will be presenting two concerts that are free and open to the public.
The first is a faculty concert at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, in Schuster Hall in Wright State University’s Creative Arts Center.
The concert will feature Bob Becker, Bill Platt, Bill Cahn, Yurika Kimura, Heather Thorn, and Jeff Luft.
They will be preforming the music of GH Green, a ragtime/novelty mallet repertoire, which will accompany the silent film “Teddy at the Throttle.”
Then on Saturday, July 26, at 3 p.m., also in Schuster Hall, there will be a seminar concert featuring advanced students from throughout the world. It is the culmination of a week-long Bob Becker Xylophone Soloist Seminar.
