Dayton’s most famous sons are getting a miniseries, and not just any miniseries. The Wright brothers, the inventors of powered air flight, will be the subject of an upcoming miniseries that will air on HBO, according to Deadline Hollywood.
HBO, along with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, are the forces behind the project, which will be based on the book “The Wright Brothers,” by David McCullough. The book chronicles the Wright brothers from their early days in Dayton running a bicycle shop to their first successful airplane flight in 1903.
