The Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded a $7.5M contract to Wright State University for drone research, according to the Department of Defense.
The research will focus on operators flying multiple drones, or remotely piloted aircraft, the Defense Department said. The contract will expand on work Wright State has already conducted.
Wright State will receive an initial payment of $375,000, according to the Defense Department. The contract expires in October 2019.
