The very talented and inspiring choreographer Jon Rodriguez, who passed away on June 20, will be memorialized from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9. The special afternoon will take place at Pontecorvo Ballet Studios, 20 Commercial Way in Springboro.
Rodriguez, who for decades inspired hundreds of young dancers as a gifted teacher and choreographer, created numerous premieres for the Dayton Ballet as well as dance companies and colleges in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. He was artistic director and coordinator of the Wright State University dance program for 20 years.
