Plastic surgeon Sunishka M. Wimalawansa, M.D., has joined Wright State Physicians Plastic Surgery and is seeing patients at Dayton Children’s Hospital, Dayton VA Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and Miami Valley Hospital.
Wimalawansa also teaches as an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.
He is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, cosmetic surgery, microsurgery and skin cancer/lesions.
He completed a hand surgery fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville. He completed his residency at the Boonshoft School of Medicine, where he was chief resident in plastic surgery. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Wimalawansa is accepting new and referral patients for both plastic surgery and hand surgery. He treats the entire spectrum of hand problems from trauma to arthritis to nerve and tendon problems. To make an appointment, call 937-208-3999.
