Thirty-two nonprofit organizations from around the Miami Valley took part in Wright State’s annual Volunteer Fair hoping to fill their volunteer needs with students.
Hundreds of students, faculty and staff attended the Sept. 11 event, which was hosted by We Serve U.
“Every year it gets bigger and bigger,” We Serve U co-chair Joanie Hendricks said. “Wright State has a huge commitment to service so it’s our organization’s opportunity to bring the students at Wright State together with nonprofits in the area.”
Participating organizations included the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, Catholic Social Services, Five Rivers MetroParks, Project Read, Clothes That Work, Crayons to Classrooms and Adventures in Movement for the Handicapped.
