Kim Demmings tied Bill Edwards for the most career points ever by any Raider in a career, as her 25 points led the women’s basketball team to an 89-71 Horizon League decision at Detroit Jan. 14.
Demmings now has 2,303 points for her career, the same as Wright State Hall of Famer Bill Edwards (1989-93). She is now 37 points away from tying Milwaukee’s Traci Edwards for the most points in Horizon League women’s basketball history (2,340).
Demmings became the top scorer in Wright State women’s basketball history on Nov. 19.
She will attempt to break Edwards’ university record when Wright State (14-3, 4-0 in the Horizon League) wraps up a Michigan road trip on Saturday, Jan. 16, with an 11 a.m. matchup at Oakland.
