The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Office of Student Affairs and Admissions will hold an Admissions Open House for pre-med students on Wednesday, June 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Gandhi Medical Education Center in White Hall.
The free program offers college students considering medical school and their parents an opportunity to meet with school administrators and current medical students and enter a drawing to win a fee waiver for the secondary application fee.
College students and their parents will be able to take a guided tour of the medical school’s state-of-the-art learning facility, the Gandhi Medical Education Center, located in White Hall. They will learn the ins and outs of medical school from actual Boonshoft School of Medicine students. They also will learn about the school’s diversity and inclusion programs.
The pre-med students will be able to talk to admissions professionals and learn about the school’s student organizations. In addition, they will learn about the Dayton region, including the low cost of living, the vibrant arts community and the extensive parks system.
Students also can talk to the medical school’s financial aid expert about options for financing their medical education.
Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Online registration is available.
