The 19th surgeon general of the United States will deliver a commencement address to graduates of Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Vivek H. Murthy will speak to graduates during the graduation ceremony set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the Victoria Theatre in downtown Dayton.
Around 99 students are expected to graduate from the medical school, according to the university. Murthy served as surgeon general from 2014 to 2017 under former president Barack Obama.
