Wright State students raised $34,202 for Dayton Children’s Hospital during Raiderthon, Wright State’s sixth annual dance marathon, in the Student Union Apollo Room.
“This money helps families so much,” said Karlie Cade, a senior political science major and Raiderthon participant. “You just never know what can happen in your life to where you will need someone to help you.”
Students stayed on their feet throughout the Nov. 17 event, which ran from 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, dancing for patients at Dayton Children’s who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
More than 300 dancers were registered for the event. Over the past five years, Raiderthon has raised over $200,000 for Dayton Children’s.
