Teresa Rapking, a junior majoring in early childhood education, has been named Wright State University’s 2019 Student Employee of the Year.
Rapking was recognized on April 18 at a ceremony in the Pathfinder Lounge in the Student Union. The event was part of National Student Employment Week, which ran from April 15 through April 20.
Rapking has worked in the Office of the Registrar as a student assistant for three years. She assists with student records, scheduling, transcripts, registration and coordinating diploma packets for commencement. Her supervisor Nita Teeters, assistant registrar, nominated Rapking for the award.
“I’ve nominated Teresa each year that she’s been here,” said Teeters. “She started day one as an amazing student employee.”
After graduation, Rapking plans to teach kindergarten or first grade so she can make a difference in children’s lives.
