Wright State COVID-19 related closures

Wright State University continues being proactive in taking steps to protect the health and well-being of our students and employees and help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (called COVID-19). Although growing in number across Ohio and the country no cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed at Wright State’s Dayton or Lake campuses.

One of the best ways to prevent the spread of viral illness is to minimize the circumstances in which individuals may interact and transmit disease. Below are a number of updates related to campus operations that will allow us to continue the education of our students while protecting our community.

UNIVERSITY HOUSING

Wright State University housing located on the Dayton Campus and Lake Campus will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20.

The university is conscious and mindful of our students who may need to remain in on-campus housing.

We ask those students to please complete the following forms:

Dayton Campus: wsureslife.forms-db.com/view.php?id=72071

Lake Campus: wsureslife.forms-db.com/view.php?id=73453

For those students who do not need to remain, and again in an effort to reduce the circumstances in which individuals have the potential to interact and transmit disease, they must exit their unit no later than Friday, March 20, at 5:00 p.m.

More detailed information on student housing can be found on the Residence Life and Housing website.

UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES AND COMPUTER LABS

All Wright State University libraries and computer labs located on the Dayton Campus and Lake Campus will be closed effective Tuesday, March 17.

With the closure of on-campus libraries and computer labs, certain students may be in need of technology to continue their remote online learning. CaTS is making laptops available and more information is available here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this unusual and everchanging situation.
